Inés Álvarez Vadillo
Inés Álvarez Vadillo received the degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Computer Engineering from the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB), Palma, Spain, in 2014 and a master in Computer Engineering from the same University in 2016. She is currently an Assistant in the Department of Mathematics and Informatics at the UIB and a PhD student in the program Information and Communication Technologies.
Miss Alvarez works in the research areas of Highly Dependable and Distributed Embedded Systems and Real-Time communications. She has actively collaborated in the Systems, Robotics and Vision research group since 2014. She has co-authored six papers published in national and international scientific conferences with peer-review, four of them as first author, and one of the publications received the best work-in-progress paper award at the IEEE World Conference on Factory Communication Systems (WFCS) 2016. As a student, she has collaborated in the implementation and design of several fault tolerance mechanisms developed within the national research project FT4FTT. She participates in the national research project DFT4FTT as a member of the research team. She carried out a six-months research visit in the Telecomunications Institute and the University of Porto, Portugal, in 2016 and a ten-months research visit in the University of Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina, in 2017.
She has participated in the organization of the 11th IEEE World Conference on Factory Communication Systems which took place in Mallorca on May 2015, as a member of the local organizing committee. She participated in the 22nd IEEE International Conference on Emerging Technologies and Factory Automation (2017) as a member of the review committee. She is a student member of the IEEE from 2016.
